End of Elaine's Earthly Journey

From Elaine's CaringBridge Site

Journal entry by Laura Roberts — 2/9/2016

This final journal entry is not being written by Laura. It is being written by someone who has been Laura's friend for more than 40 years.

Saturday, February 6, 2016, Elaine passed away. Her battle was tough and she was courageous. As we all recognize, God's timing is not always in accordance with our timing but His way is always the right way. We will not understand in this lifetime nor will we ever cease to miss Elaine's beautiful smile. And though she is well and in the presence of Christ, our heartbreak is real in the here and now. So please remember Laura and hold her close in your thoughts and prayers. Please also pray for Elaine's young friends who have confronted a bitter reality at such a tender age. Though this world is broken and battered, life is a gift to be treasured.
